Restoring Roots & Thriving Forward began as a simple idea: to honor where I come from, to rebuild what life has taken apart, and to create something that helps others feel grounded, inspired, and connected.

My life has held its share of trauma and unexpected turns, but nothing changed our world more than my husband’s stroke. Overnight, everything shifted. He could no longer work, and I became his full‑time caregiver. We suddenly found ourselves navigating medical challenges, financial strain, and the emotional weight of watching someone you love fight to regain strength.

During that time, I saw clearly how many people are struggling just to stay afloat. I searched for resources, support, and programs — only to find long waits, limited help, and overwhelmed systems. It opened my eyes to how easily families can slip through the cracks, and how isolating it feels when you’re trying to survive without enough support.

This shop grew from those experiences. It became a way for me to support my family while staying home to care for my husband. But it also became something bigger: a mission to eventually help others who are facing their own battles, rebuilding their lives, and trying to move forward with strength and hope.

My photography, digital downloads, thrifted items, handmade goods, and meaningful designs all reflect the values rural life has taught me — resilience, honesty, resourcefulness, and heart. Every piece carries a story, a memory, or a lesson learned along the way.
